My teams camera is to dark and has wierd contrast. Camera works fine in other apps like Skype. Please let me know if there is any fix. Labels: Labels: Teams Camera. Tags: Teams camera. Still no comment from Microsoft? Go figure. Hope this helps in the meanwhile until this issues is resolved by Microsoft Currently testing but will update in a couple of days This is what It rolled back to once I did a roll back driver.

And do you have an update on the driver update as you said? I’m having the exact same issue with my new Dell Inspiron i7. My students keep asking why I keep turning the light off and on. Did you find a solution? I wish Dell would fix this, rather then us having to purchase separate hardware. I am having a similar issue with the work-issued Dell laptop. It’s clearly a camera driver or settings software bug. The webcam lighting sensor keeps adjusting the video brightness every few seconds, up and down the scale [from too dark to overexposed], while the light in my room is not changing at all.

It’s really annoying to me and others. I don’t think it’s the option that you mentioned since that one sounds like something for your display like night time colors, not for the camera. Thank you! We have received the details you shared. We will continue the conversation via private messages as the interactions may include user as well as Dell centric information. Me too facing the auto brightness issue with webcam. I have tried to chat with your help centre but they were not able to resolve the issue. I’m also having this issue. I just bought my laptop Inspiron 2-in-1 about a month ago and I noticed it when I bought a selfie ring light. I teach virtual Zumba classes, so the lighting for my students is very important so they can see my moves and cueing. If all else fails, uninstall the software.

The next time you try to join or start a virtual meeting, the web browser client should download the software for you. You also can manually install the software from Zoom. Another common problem with Zoom is an audio echo during a meeting.

If you hear an audio echo or feedback, there are three possible reasons why. Someone could have both computer and telephone audio active at the same time. In this case, ask them to either hang up on the telephone call or exit the PC-based audio during the conference by clicking the up arrow icon next to the microphone icon and choosing Leave Computer Audio.

Computer or telephone speakers might be too close to each other. Ask the two people that are too close to each other to move apart or shut a door. You could also ask one of them to leave the audio conference or mute audio on their device; though muting by itself may not always be as effective in reducing the echo. Using headphones helps reduce the echoing effect, too. Multiple computers with active audio could be in the same conference room.

Again, ask the two people that are too close to each other to move apart or close a door. You can also ask one of them to leave the audio conference, mute audio on their device, or wear headphones. Lagging and freezing usually indicate a problem with your internet connection. On a mobile device, move to an area with a better connection to see if this helps.

On PCs, stick with a wired Ethernet connection, if possible. Aim for the right internet speeds for a successful video chat. When talking with multiple people in a team setting, you want the upload speed around 1Mbps and the download speed around Kbps. I have restarted the computer and updated all the software is up to date I think it updates automatically.

Can you help? Hi Totalgranger1 ,. Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community. Does the issue on the Camera only happens on Zoom? How about using other video conferencing app like Skype, does the issue happens also?

Try also using the Camera app itself on the device. How do you access Zoom Meetings? Maybe a setting needs to be change on the app. If the issue occurs also on other platform especially the Camera app itself, please try these steps to troubleshoot the issue:. If this answer your question, we highly encourage you to inform our Community by clicking on Yes or marking my post as an answer. This will help other members who may have the same issue as you. Otherwise, don’t hesitate to update us so we can further assist you.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. I am experiencing the same. The cam software somehow decides on its own about the lighting conditions – and decides wrongly.

It changes dynamically; generally, the further I move my face away from the camera, the brighter the picture is.
